About the Product Family
Our M∙VERA® bioplastics consist of biodegradable polymers and have a varying proportion of renewable raw materials. M·VERA® bioplastics are used when biodegradation is the best option at the end of the product life cycle or to prevent the formation of microplastics. The biodegradability of our materials is certified by independent institutes, e.g. for industrial composting, home compost or biodegradability in soil.
With similar properties to conventional plastics, our M·VERA® bioplastics can be processed on standard plastics machinery.

Properties of bioplastics
Bioplastics are either biodegradable or made from renewable raw materials (biobased) – or even both. You will find the categorisation of our compounds in the matrix
Bioplastics for injection moulding applications
Our biodegradable M·VERA® bioplastic injection moulding grades can be processed on conventional injection moulding machines and tools. Normally, the cycle times are only slightly longer than those of conventional plastics.

Bioplastics for blown film extrusion applications
M∙VERA® bioplastics are ideally suited for processing in mono and multilayer films. Due to the excellent melt strength of M∙VERA® film grades, the compounds can be processed on conventional blown film lines. Converting, printing and sealing of the films is also possible without any problems using standard equipment.
Applications include carrier bags, organic waste bags, fruit and vegetable bags, dog faeces bags, labels and much more.

Bioplastics for mulch films for blown film extrusion
We have developed the M·VERA® bioplastics a series especially for mulch film applications. M·VERA® A5002 is certified as "biodegradable in soil" by an independent institute in accordance with EN 17033 and can therefore simply be ploughed under after harvesting – a decisive advantage for sustainable agriculture and reduces the amount of work required as no film residues need to be removed. In addition, biodegradable mulch films prevent microplastics from entering the environment.
Due to their excellent melt strength, M∙VERA® film types can be processed on conventional blown film lines.
