M·VERA® A5001

Bioplastic for mulch films

M·VERA^® A5001 has been specially developed for mulch film. Thanks to its food contact conformity it can also be used safely in agricultural areas for food production. M·VERA® A5001 is certified by TÜV AUSTRIA as OK compost INDUSTRIAL according to EN 13432, based on the criteria set out below.

The material shows a good tensile strength and a medium tear resistance which makes it resistant to a wide range of weather conditions. M·VERA^® A5001 is opaque and is easy to use with the specially developed AF-Eco ^®black masterbatch.

Processing on conventional blown film lines allows easy integration into existing production processes. Thanks to its versatile properties, M·VERA^® A5001 is a high-performance solution for modern agricultural applications.

Criteria for certification by TÜV AUSTRIA in accordance with

OK compost INDUSTRIAL (according to EN 13432)

Testing for certain limit values of heavy metals must first be successfully completed
The tests are carried out at approx. 60 °C:
1. Disintegration (end product): Min. 90 % must disintegrate within 12 weeks; remaining parts must not be larger than 2 mm
2. Biodegradation (powder): Min. 90 % within 6 months; measurement of CO₂
Ecotoxicity test: Growth test with two plant species
