Our expertise in plastics
We aim to offer our customers alternatives to conventional plastics. Depending on the product specification, these include compounds based on biobased raw materials, certified biodegradable compounds (subject to the relevant conditions) and materials containing a specified proportion of recycled content. We also work with you to develop application-specific material and recycling concepts (‘circular solutions’) as well as bespoke compounds.

Independently confirmed
We place great emphasis on quality, precision and consistency so that we can offer our customers outstanding products of consistently high quality at all times. Our internal processes are designed to drive continuous improvement, ensure consistently high quality, and meet required standards at all times.
AKRO-PLASTIC, as well as BIO-FED and AF-COLOR – its two subsidiaries – are certified to the standards DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System) and ISO 50001:2018 (Energy Management System).
Some of our compounds are certified to ISCC PLUS. We provide product-specific information on biobased or recycled raw materials. ISCC PLUS is a certification scheme in the chemical industry for biobased and recycled materials (including those based on vegetable oil and fat waste or recycled material). Using ISCC PLUS-certified compounds can help conserve fossil resources, for example, by using waste oil instead of fossil oil.
Certain materials in our portfolio are certified by TÜV AUSTRIA in accordance with DIN EN ISO 13432 (compostability) or by DIN CERTCO in accordance with EN 17033 (biodegradability). The relevant certification for each material is specified in the respective product description.
