Sustainability is currently on every company's agenda. But what does this mean for plastics? Mechanical recycling is one way of using more sustainable materials and reducing CO2 footprint of the product, but by no means the only one. Depending on the specific requirements of the component, the right material can also be biobased, chemically recycled, mass-balanced or simply a cleverly chosen fossil-based plastic.
