About the Product Family
Our M·BIOBASE® compounds are made from biomass-balanced polypropylene (PP), which is obtained entirely or partially from renewable raw materials such as vegetable oils and waste oils. These compounds are ISCC PLUS certified which guarantees the traceability of the sustainable material flow along the entire value chain.
Switching from conventional polypropylene to this sustainable variant is easy for processors, as the material can be used as a drop-in solution without having to adjust the process parameters in production. The material alternative with reduced CO2 footprint offers comparable properties and is suitable for a wide range of applications.
The M·BIOBASE® material range also includes compounds with wood fibres from waste streams from the wood industry. These fillers made from renewable raw materials also improve the CO2 footprint compared to conventional petroleum-based plastics.
Our compounds based on polylactic acids (PLA) are obtained entirely from renewable sources, such as sugar.
We offer suitable masterbatches in cooperation with our sister company AF-COLOR. These colour masterbatches are named in line with their use in the circular economy AF-CirColor® and AF-CirCarbon®. The portfolio is complemented by AF-CirComplex® additive masterbatches.
