Particularly flowable PP with wood fibres
M·BIOBASE® PPH 230 WF20 nat CI is a modern plastic compound and offers a more sustainable alternative to conventional plastics, as the biomass-balanced polypropylene (PP) used is obtained from waste, e.g. from residues from vegetable oil refining or used cooking oil (UCO) – instead of from fossil raw materials. The compound has an allocation factor (biomass-balanced proportion) of approx. 80 % and is ISCC PLUS certified. ISCC PLUS certification guarantees the traceability of the sustainable material flow along the entire value chain.
Furthermore, organic raw materials such as wood are used in this M·BIOBASE® compound. The biobased content of 20 % wood fibres, which come from waste streams from the timber industry, combines sustainability with high functionality and at the same time further increases the biobased content in the compound. The wood look gives the end products an attractive, natural appearance.
Thanks to the use of renewable raw materials, M·BIOBASE® compounds have an improved CO2 footprint (product carbon footprint) compared to conventional fossil-based plastics.
The material also impresses withits good rigidity and a very high flowability which makes it easy to process on conventional machines. In addition, the good impact strength ensures reliability in demanding applications. M·BIOBASE® PPH 230 WF20 nat CI is particularly suitable for injection moulding process and can be used for a wide range of applications, including technical components, sports equipment, toys and general consumer goods.
