PCR colour masterbatches
Use our masterbatches based on post-consumer recyclate.

The challenge in the production of masterbatches based on post-consumer recyclate is the often fluctuating base colour and quality of the PCR materials. The new masterbatches developed by AF-COLOR based on PCR-based LDPE from recycled beverage cartons in combination with intensive colourants or colour-intensive carbon black enable consistent and cost-efficient colouring.
Our sister company AF-COLOR already has several PCR-based colour masterbatches and black masterbatches in its range. Get in touch with us!

Masterbatch based on post-consumer recyclate
Beverage cartons consist of complex composite materials containing paper fibres, plastics and aluminium. Recycling these materials efficiently has long been a challenge. Thanks to the innovative technologies of our partner Saperatec GmbH, the various components can now be successfully separated and recycled. This allows high-quality raw materials such as polyethylene (PE) to be recovered, which can then be used for new products.

PCR-based black masterbatch
The challenge with black colouring in particular is not to impair the mechanical properties despite the use of carbon black. The newly developed masterbatch AF-CirCarbon® PE 950934 black PCR from our sister company AF-COLOR, based on post-consumer recycled LDPE in combination with a colour-intensive carbon black, enables consistent and cost-efficient colouring as well as excellent dispersion.
Carrier base: PCR polyethylene (LDPE)
Recommended dosage: 1-2 %
Application: Injection moulding
Carbon black-free black masterbatch based on PCR
To ensure recyclability even with black colouring, our sister company AF-COLOR has developed a carbon black-free black masterbatch based on PCR. The absence of carbon black enables the plastic to be recognised by near-infrared (NIR) sorting systems, as conventional carbon black prevents NIR recognition and thus interrupts the material cycle.
We also supply the suitable recyclate!
