About the Product Family
Our M·CYCLOSE® compounds contain recycled materials. These recycled materials either come from products that have already completed a life cycle with consumers (PCR = Post Consumer Recyclate), or from waste products from industry, such as start-up materials from plastics processing (PIR = Post Industrial Recyclate). In both cases, using recycled material can reduce the proportion of virgin material in the respective compound.
Our M·CYCLOSE® materials contain varying proportions of 'post-consumer' or 'post-industrial' recyclates. These recyclates are used in our compounds either as a base material or as a filler. We specify the origin and the percentage of recycled material for each compound.

Household waste is recycled and used as a recycled filler in plastics – including in the M·CYCLOSE® rPE UBQ product range.
Recycled filler made from recycelt household waste
Every day, large quantities of unsorted household waste are generated – from banana peel to old pizza boxes. Our partner UBQ uses innovative technology at its large-scale plant in the Netherlands to process these materials into 80,000 tonnes of filler, which can be used in certain plastic applications.
